Welcome to the official website of Pension Shirahama BigfisherClub in Izu Shirahama.
Our resort-style pension is nestled in the quiet greenery of the hillside, and all guest rooms are equipped with a private bath and toilet.
At the on-site barbecue area, you can enjoy a fun BBQ experience surrounded by the natural beauty of Shirahama.
Shirahama Chuo Beach is just a 2–3 minute drive away, and Shirahama Ohama Beach can be reached in about 5–6 minutes by car.minutes drive to Shirahama Oohama beach.

Located just north of Shirahama Ohama Beach and Shirahama Shrine, Shirahama Chuo Beach has been selected as one of the “88 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan” and ” Japan’s Top 100 Seaside Bathing Beaches.”

Stretching about 700 meters, this beach is known for its pure white sand and clear blue waters. With both sandy shore and rocky areas, visitors can enjoy not only swimming but also exploring tidal pools. You may spot sea creatures such as anemones, hermit crabs, and small shells.

A naturally formed rock called Kamifune and the breakwater create a calm swimming area, making it especially recommended for families with children. Along the coastline, you can also stroll the Kamifune Promenade, where you can relax and enjoy scenic ocean views.

As the largest beach on the Izu Peninsula, Shirahama Ohama Beach boasts a spacious sandy stretch about 800 meters long. It is the main beach of Shirahama, attracting both young people and families who come every year to enjoy the dazzling white sand and sky-blue sea.

The official beach season begins in mid-July, but when the weather is good, swimming is possible from Golden Week through mid-September. Even after the Obon holidays, jellyfish are rarely seen.

Although there are no beach huts directly on the sand, rental shops and eateries can be found along the nearby main road, making it easy to enjoy a full day at the beach.

Our parking lot is located about 70 meters from the building, and the path from the lot to the pension is uphill. You may stop your car briefly at the entrance to load or unload luggage; however, since other guests and the neighboring pension also use this area, we kindly ask that you limit your stop to within 5 minutes.

The distance from the pension to Shirahama Chuo Beach is about a 10–15 minute walk; however, the route involves steep slopes. For this reason, walking to the beach is not recommended.
